A Kurt Weill Kaberet
In honour of the centenary of Weill's birth
August 2000

In celebration of the centenary of Kurt Weill's birth, TrypTych presented these workshop performances. The workshop participants went through an intensive three week rehearsal period. They participated in vocal, acting, dance and performance master classes and music and staging rehearsals. Master classes were held by acclaimed stage director Tom Diamond, Humber College acting instructor Shawn Campbell, Phantom of the Opera star and vocal instructor Peter Barnes and the Toronto Star Drama Critic, CBC Radio Personality, former head of TVO Ontario Arts, director and librettist Richard Ouzounian. Dance instruction and choreography were held by Anita Bostok who just completed an extended run with The Phantom of the Opera.
